Sheffield Council needs to ‘Fix My Street’ to help local residents report issues

by timhuggan on 2 July, 2020

The news that Sheffield City Council is not accepting reports of fly tipping, potholes and other issues to do with their local area from the website ‘Fix My Street’ and only allowing people to report issues through its lesser used and less useful in house website which involves extra steps for reporting problems.

Cllr Tim Huggan, Lib Dem Shadow Cabinet Member for the Environment said ‘Sheffield City Council should immediately allow people to report localised fly tipping, potholes, graffiti and other problems through ‘Fix My Street’.

‘Many residents have used this site to easily report problems in their area, by stopping ‘Fix My Street’ from reporting issues directly from residents to the City Council will only make it more difficult to report issues to Sheffield City Council.   The City Council should stop making life difficult for local residents.’
